but I have pie

I was reminded in so many ways today why I work so hard to learn and to be better. Why I use this amazing life that I have been given to try to do right and fight to make this world better. Why it matters to keep trying even when it feels like you’re losing ground. Because imagine how much ground we would lose if we stopped pushing back. So whatever happens in this world, from now until my last day, know that I will keep on trying and keep on fighting the good fight.

I also promised my kids to stop “ominous posting” and worrying them and their friends. So it’s all good kids, I’m just loving my friends and frustrated that the world isn’t a perfect place, but I have pie.
